Our Caribbean Treated Pine is a species of pine originating from the Central American region, Cuba and the Bahamas and is now grown in the northern regions of Queensland. It is 30% stronger than standard pine and a lot more stable making it more suitable of external decking than native pines from Australia. The Caribbean Pine is H3 treated and at time of treatment is infused with an earthy brown colour to give it a slight hardwood appearance. We still recommend to apply an external decking oil once installed.
